Rites May 9

Alma Frances Cochran, 83, 622 North Main Osceola, died at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines Friday, May 6, 1983. Services were held Monday, May 9, from the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with Pastor Randy Allison officiating at the 1:30 p. m. rites. Interment was in Bethel Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County.

Alma Frances Cochran was born September 26, 1899 in Warren County, Iowa, daughter of Oliver H. Perry Burrell and Addie Nickieson Burrell. She attended schools in Lucas County and on March 30, 1916 was married to Roscoe Cochran in Osceola. One son was born to this union.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Osceola.

Survivors include her husband Ross Cochran of Osceola, brother Nathan Burrell and wife Leona of Osceola, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Florence and Clarence Bradshaw of Casper, Wyoming, three sisters-in-law, Nellie Cochran of Murray, Vera Cochran of Indianola and Lena Cochran of Wheatland, Wyoming.

She was Preceded in death by her parents, infant son, two sisters and one brother, Sherman.
