"Died at his home on So. Fifth Street last Thursday afternoon following an illness of several months. A native of Lawrence County, spent all of his life in this vicinity. He followed farming for many years, later moving to Sumner where he was on the police force for a few years. About 12 years ago he moved to Lawrenceville and for four or five years was employed as a teamster at the Indiana Refinery. Mr. Cochran was married three times; all of his wives preceded his death. Nine (*) children survive:.."
