Barbara Ann Coberly, 81, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008. Barbara was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Milwaukee. WI, to Harry and Dorothy Bortner. Barbara graduated from Janesville High School in 1944, graduated from nursing school, and was a retired teachers and project aide for Oceanside Unified School District from 1966 to 1996. Barbara was very energetic and enjoyed antiquing, gardening, hanging with the "The Hens," and traveling with her husband, Jack.
She is survived by her sons: Matt Farnum, Mark Farnum, and Peter Farnum, all of Oceanside, and Paul Farnum of Austin, TX; and nephews & nieces: David Bortner, Barbara Blomgren, and Rebecca Bortner.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008, at ETERNAL HILLS, 1999 S. El Camino Real, Oceanside. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4950 Murphy Canyon Rd., Suite 250, San Diego, CA 92123. 858-492-4400.
