He was born Jan. 25, 1952, in Detroit, Mich., and was a resident of Pahrump for 10 years, having come from Las Vegas.
He was a veteran of the Navy and during the Vietnam War, he served on the U.S.S. Enterprise.
He was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 631 and a member of the LDS Church.
He loved boating, camping, the desert, traveling, and most of all, his family. Every Christmas, he played Santa Claus for special needs people at Northfield Ranch.
Survivng are his daughter Brandi Werra of Minnesota; son Ryan M. Cobb of California; sister Sheryl Cork of Pahrump; grandsons Parker, Samuel and Austin, all of Minnesota; nephews Jess Linn and Richard Connell, both of Pahrump; and niece Kara Spangler of Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin L. Cobb Jr. and Betty Jane Cobb.
Services were held at 12:40 p.m., Jan. 25 in the Boulder City Veterans Cemetery near his parents. A celebration of his life followed at Northfield Ranch. (01/06/2010)
