Lillian Ruth Miller Clubb Ruth Marie Clubb, 66, of Fairfield, passed on 4/27/16 at after an extended illness while resting at Sunnybrook in Fairfield, IA.
She was born April 21, 1950, one of ten children born to Emery and Lillian Morris Miller in Kilbourn, IA. She was fondly called Gidget by her friends from her youth.
She attended school in Keosauqua later attaining General Education Development certificate on June 3, 1981 from Indian Hills Community College. Ruth was baptized on March 7, 1977 in Centerville, IA at the Church of Christ. Ruth was a homemaker.
Surviving are her two children: David (Dave) Emory and wife Christy Miller of Fairfield, IA; Lila Denise (Lila D.) and husband Scot Lecy of Lexington, SC.; eight grandchildren; one sister: Twyla and husband Gerald Miller of Marion, IA; two brothers: Harold of Davenport, IA., Larry and wife Laura Miller of Fairfield. She is also survived by her former husband, Duane Clubb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: James (Richard) of Woodland, CA, Gale of Brighton, IA; Allen of Granger, IA; and sisters Ida Mae Leib of Atkins, IA; Janet Long of Keosauqua, IA; Lila Beth Simmons of MO. Also preceding her were half siblings: Bud Miller, Lester Miller and Betty Jones.
The family would like to acknowledge Chris Eddy of Fairfield CDAC, for the outstanding care she tirelessly provided for our mother/sister/aunt/friend. Thank you for everything and for adopting Buster!
Ruth's body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at Raymond Funeral Home (112 West Burlington, Fairfield) on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a Butterfly Effect Eco Memorial Fund.
