Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Dorothy Susie Clough Beames, 92, returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully at her home on Friday, August 28, 2009.


She was born the youngest of nine children on September 17, 1916 in Salt Lake City to Henry Tomkins Clough and Susie Hiller Clough.


Married Wallace Edwin Beames Jr. on July 30, 1938; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20, 1958. Devoted wife and mother of three children Carolyn, David, and Linda.


Active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many positions over the years. Was a Temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for many years. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She did needle point, knitting, crocheting, as well as a great cook and homemaker. Was a gracious hostess and loved to entertain family and friends. She loved holiday gatherings with her family and friends.


Survived by: daughters - Carolyn B. Porter (Lynn), Linda B. Ashinhurst (Jack) - grandchildren - Brett Porter (Paige), Ryan Porter (Andrea), Brittany Ashinhurst, AJ Ashinhurst, Tiffany Beames, Brandon Beames - great grandchildren - Kylie Porter, Cason Porter, Phillip Porter, Ethan Porter, Zoe Porter, and Anyssa Beames Preceded in death by beloved husband Wally, son David, parents, and eight siblings.


Friends may call on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the Bountiful Memorial Park, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful.
Friends may call on Friday prior to the services from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary.
