J. Blaine, age 81, died at his daughter's home following a short illness. He was the son of William J. and Amanda (Fulton) Cloud. He married Dora Edna Webster.

Survivors include his children, William Webster Cloud, Amanda Hartley Cleaves, Edna Dorothy Eaby, Cynthia Dora Gheen, Roselda Kester Heald, James Mason Cloud, and Townsend Webster Cloud, his sister, Margerie C. Woodward, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his infant sons, James, Fulton Kester, James Blaine Jr., and George Dunn.
