C.M. Clements Dead
Well Known Farmer Passed Away at Home This Morning.
Calvin Morris Clements, well known in Cowley county as a successful farmer, passed away at the family home east of the city this morning at 10 o'clock. Mr. Clements had been ill for some time and his death had been expected by members of the family and the attending physicians. The cause of death was dropsy. The deceased leaves a wife and other relatives to mourn his death. He had resided in the vicinity of Arkansas City for a quarter of a century or more.
Mr. Clements was a native of Ohio, having been born in that state on March 26, 1839. He was aged 77 years, 4 months and 27 days. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. at the home east of the city with interment in Parker cemetery.
