Edna Mae Clees, 91, formerly of Montoursville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at her residence in Dubois, Pa.

She was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Montoursville, the daughter of W. Ralph and Beatrice M. Bennett Lorah.

Edna was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Montoursville, and had worked for the former Hurr's Dairy Store, Wallace Pharmacy and W.T. Grants.

Edna was predeceased by her husband, Calvin L. Clees, on Jan. 27, 2004. She is also predeceased by two brothers, Max and Robert Lorah; a sister, Aldyne Dieffenbacher; and by a great-grandson, Ayden Eberly.

Surviving are her two daughters, Roberta L. (Richard L. Jr.) Clees Benfer of Silver Spring, Md. and Margaret A. (Max E. Jr.) Clees Little of Dubois, Pa; two grandchildren, Claire L. Harris and Jenny M Eberly; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Pastor William Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
