Max E. Clark (86) was born on June 19, 1929 in Altonah, Utah 4th Child of Eugene and Vendetta Ralphs Clark. He had one sister and four brothers and spent his childhood stealing chickens and tipping over outhouses. Max spent his younger years working on his brother’s farm and as a ranch hand in the Uintas. He married his sweetheart Arlene Boswell in 1950. Max Served in the US Army in Korea. He worked as a lineman by trade and later worked for Logan city Power and Light for 27 years. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Max loved to travel the country and go camping with his family. He liked to fish, ride horses and attend family reunions. He grew a large garden every year.
Max fought a lengthy battle with lung cancer and rode into the sunset on March 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Richard, Irene (Berrett), Ralph, and Rex. He is survived by his loving wife Arlene Boswell Clark, daughter Julie (Brent) Hansen and son Raymond (Linda) Clark. He has 6 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and brother, Robert (Ann) who will miss him very much. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you continue Max’s tradition and stop by for a visit with his wife Arlene or make a donation to Relay for Life/American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the mortuary, and prior to the services on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, also at the mortuary. Interment will follow “up on the hill” at the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net. His love for life and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
