She was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Andrew J. and Maggie Irene (Stark) Clark. The family moved to the Burbank oil field in December of 1929. She received her schooling in Webb City and Shidler and graduated from Shidler High School in 1945. She was employed by the Civil Service to work for the United States Department of Navy in Washington, D.C., from July 4, 1945, to March 1946. At that time she returned to her home in Oklahoma and was employed by Shell Oil Company in Lyman until her marriage to C.A. Bivin on Aug. 28, 1947. During the time she was raising her children she also worked in the family business which was a Phillips 66 service station. In 1972, she moved to Broken Arrow, where she was employed by the Broken Arrow Family Clinic until her retirement in November of 1992. At that time she moved to McAlester, where her son and his family lived. She died in McAlester at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents.
