Clifford Clark grew up working on his father's farm. Albert Clifford Clark married Susie Verdra Hargrave on 9 February 1934 at Nelta, Hopkins County, Texas. They had two children named Albert Carr and Sarah Louise Clark.
Clifford continued to farm and rasied cattle until he later went to work in Sulphur Springs where he became a supervisor for Cannon Craft Manufacturing Company. He took an early retirement and thoroughly enjoyed the balance of his life. He continued to raise stocker cattle and was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing. He always had at least one bird dog in his possession. He also loved to read, work on family history, and study the Bible. He was a devout member of the Nelta Church of Christ.
Clifford lost the love of his life when Susie died in 1995. He continued to live in the home that they had built together at Nelta with his beloved pointer named Joe. He was extremely agile and could walk miles in his woods where he continued to cut fire woood.
Clifford was diagnosed with lung cancer early in 2000. He lost his fight on 2 June 2000 when he was eighty-five years of age. He was buried beside his wife in the Nelta Cemetery.
Clifford Clark was a beloved father and "PawPaw' to four grandchildren. His easy smile and loving touch will always be a cherished memory to his family.
