Esther L. Keith, daughter of Newton Keith and Sophia (Heinrich) Keith, was born on November 3, 1904 in Moody, MO.
She was united in marriage to Charles LeRoy Clark on December 17, 1945 in Hiawatha, KS.
Esther and Roy moved into Auburn in 1966. She was a member of the Auburn Christian Church for more than 35 years. Esther was Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star #263 of Brownville, NE; past president of American Legion Auxiliary Post 23 of Auburn, She taught school for one year in Missouri after her marriage and taught for one year in Nemaha County and Brownville.
Due to ill health Esther entered the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, NE. It is there that on Monday, July 11, 2011 Esther passed away having reached the age of 106 years, 8 months and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister, and husband Roy in 1981.
Those left to celebrate her life are two sisters-in-law Maxine Keith of Kansas City, MO; and Agnes Keith of Texas; nephew Robert Keith of Springfield, MO; grandson Robert Clark of Modesto, CA; and his two daughters and one great granddaughter, grandson Chuck Clark of Denver CO; other relatives and friends.
