DAVENPORT - Lucille J. "Lucy" Driskell, 83, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Funeral services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus or the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport.
Lucy was born June 28, 1926, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Peter E. and Ella H. (Durkop) Clark. She was united in marriage to James Driskell Sr. on December 26, 1946, in Tucumcari, N.M. He died December 15, 2008. She was a loving homemaker and an avid bowler.
Those left to honor her memory include daughter, Janice (Dwain) Steines, Denver, Colo.; sons, Jim Jr. (Marcy) Driskell, Coal Valley, Ill., Jerry (Lisa) Driskell, Park View, Iowa, Dennis Driskell, Davenport, Keith (Penny) Driskell, Davenport, and Gary (Marsha) Hopkins, Camanche, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents and sisters, Florence, Evelyn and Daisy preceded her in death.
