Lucille L. Henry-Rice, age 88, of Moundsville, W.Va., died Monday, August 1, 2005 in Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.
She was born March 28, 1917 in Moundsville, the daughter of the late John Martin and Flora Kurtz Clark.
She was a member of Moundsville Baptist Church for 74 years; and an Election Board Worker for 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Lawrence Henry, Sr.; her second husband, Thomas Harold Rice; a son, Orville Lawrence Henry, Jr.; six sisters; two brothers; and a son-in-law, Roger Seagraves.
Surviving are two sons, Martin (Joann) Henry of Moundsville and Franklin (Carolyn) Henry of Marysville, Ohio; four daughters, Orvilla L. Sheller of West Palm Beach, Fla., Ruth Hollingshead of Ohio, Carol (Don) McIlvain and Diana Seagraves, all of Moundsville; a daughter-in-law, Carol Henry of Moundsville; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Family received friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Moundsville Baptist Church, 4th Street and Annadale Avenue, Moundsville with Rev. J. Thomas Steele, officiating.
