Mrs. Leatha Fern Nichols Thomas, 85, 434 S Main St., Sullivan, died 2:15 am today July 21 1983 at Mary Sherman Hospital.
She was a member of the Kingsley Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Newlin, and her first husband, Russell Nichols

Surviving are her husband, Clyde; a daughter, Marjory Foster, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Russell H. Nichols and Forest Nichols, both of Sullivan ; one step-son Joe E. Thomas, Yellville, Ark.; one step-daughter, Ilene Kidd, Rossville, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Ray Whitman, Sullivan; 14 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

Services are set for 2 pm at the Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Ayers and Elder Mervin Drake to officiate. Burial will be in the York (Ill.) Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 pm Friday.
