Dr. Gary E. Clarabut saw the face of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 26th. Gary was born in Houston, Texas, on September 6th, 1943 to Inez Jennie Guidry Clarabut and Sidney Eustace Clarabut. Growing up Gary was a Boy Scout and a Marksman. Gary married Patricia Ann Curfman on August 16th, 1963.

Gary graduated from Texas Tech University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. Being a Chiropractor in the Oklahoma City area for over 33 years, Gary touched many lives through Chiropractic care and made lifelong friends along the way. Gary was a past President for the Oklahoma State Chiropractic Association, the Top Tipper's Club of Oklahoma City, and The Oklahoma Chiropractic Association.

Gary was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend, and took great delight in attending his childrens' activities, whether it be a horseshow, basketball game, or a motorcross race. Gary's favorite pastime was doting on his children. Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, cooking, frying turkeys, car racing, and OU tailgating with friends. Garlen, Gary's younger brother, was his best friend. Gary was also an avid TEXAS TECH fan! Gary was a man of few words but whose actions were world class.

Gary leaves behind his precious wife of 42 years, Pat, his son, Forrest Clarabut from Lubbock, Texas, his two daughters, Nyssa Tyson from Norman, OK, and Tara Knight from Round Rock, Texas, and sonin-laws, Ron and Scot.

Gary is survived by his only living brother, Garlen and wife Marilyn from Oklahoma City, sister-in-law Theda from Houston, and lifelong friend Marc Hill who resides in Oklahoma City. Gary enjoyed his grandchildren: Haden, Paleigh, Bryce, Aubry, Lawson and Zac.

Gary was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Sidney and Inez, brother George, and lifelong friends Jeff Duke and David Riley.

Gary was a member of City Church in Oklahoma City.

Funeral Service: Wednesday March 29, 2006 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow.
