Mr. Clapp was born August 15, 1939 in Scott County, IN the son of George E. and Mary Florence Graves Clapp. He retired in 1992 after 32 years as a Machine Operator for the old Colgate Plant, was the former owner of Clapp LP Gas, active in the Goodwill program and a member of New Market Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his sons, Ronnie Clapp and his wife Paula of Sellersburg, IN and Mark Clapp of Jeffersonville, IN; daughter, Lori Darsillo and her husband Michael of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; mother, Mary Florence Clapp of Marysville, IN; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Clapp, son David Clapp and his father George E. Clapp.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until time of service.
