Robert Michael "Bob" Ciurczak, 76, of Leesburg, FL was born October 30, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY and passed away June 23, 2014. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a retired Firefighter with the city of Buffalo, NY. He was also a member of the Chopin Singing Society and Buffalo Choral Arts. In 1995 he moved to Leesburg and enjoyed an active life golfing, cycling, flying model airplanes, and singing and acting in the Plantation Theatrical Group and Hawthorne Harmonizers. His love was gardening and he was renowned for his green thumb. Locally, he was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by: wife of 56 years Joyce; daughter Mary (Paul) Wasch; sons Robert, Jr. (Sherry), Michael and John; 3 grandchildren: Stephanie (Adam) Redden, Anthony Wasch and Anna Ciurczak; great grandchild Connor Redden; 2 sisters: Adeline (Leonard) Klima and Geraldine Ciurczak; brother Francis (Patricia); brother in law Paul (Jacqueline) Fusani; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Thomas and a sister Helen Specyal. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday June 26, 2014 from 3-7 PM at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 27, 2014 at 8:30 AM at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Leesburg. Private inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery.
