Janet (Brown) Churchill, 80, of Newington, beloved wife for 57yearsof Edward C. Churchill, died Wednesday, (May 17, 2000) at Jefferson House, Newington, Born and raised in the Elmwood section of West Hartford, she had been a resident of Newington for many years. Mrs. Churchill was a member of the Church of Christ Congregational UCC, Newington where she and been a Sunday school teacher for many years and was active in many church events. While her sons were growing, she was active in the Cub Scouts and the Newington Little League. Besides her husband she is survived by her granddaughter, her pride and joy, Paige Elizabeth Churchill and her mother, Joan (O'Brien) Churchill, both of Newington. Mrs. Churchill was predeceased by her two sons, David C. Churchill who passed away in 1994 and John R. Churchill who passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000. She was a most devoted and loving, wife, mother and grandmother.
