Mary C. Babulak, age 92, of Mercy Terrace Apartments and formerly of Lake Cliff Drive in Lawrence Park, passed away on February 16th, 2007 at her residence.
She was born in Erie on February 22nd, 1914 a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Urbaniak Chrzanowski.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and a 1932 graduate of St. Stanislaus High School. She worked at General Electric for 38 years.
She enjoyed nature, music, reading and puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Michael P. Babulak on September 28, 1977; five brothers: Vincent, Anthony, John, Leonard and Alois and five sisters: Pauline Chrzanowski, Rose Stanczak, Sr. Mary Laetantia CSSF, Theresa Chrzanowski and Martha Chrzanowski.
She is survived by her step son, Michael J. Babulak, wife Dorothy of Westerville, Ohio, two sisters: Anna Monroe and Angela Thompson both of Erie. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Karen Lindell, husband John, David Babulak, wife Lein and Diane Burkholder, husband Troy; two great grandchildren Matthew and Eva and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Calling hours and services were private.
Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, LLP, 845 East 38th Street. Memorials can be made to St. Stanislaus Church 516 East 13th Street, Erie, PA 16503.
