Deola Christensen Adamson age 77 passed away Aug 13,2002 in Odgen, Utah. She was born December 23, 1925 in Oak City ,Millard County to Alma Joshua Christensen, and Silvia Boletta Christebsen Christensen.she was in deed a treasured Christmas present, to her parents and three older brothers. She would be the only daughter out of nine children. She had the letter S. as her middle name. I believe for her mother. She was a devoted daughter caring for her parents in their later years. She was especially close to her brothers as they were her best friends along with their wife's who considered her a true sister. She was a special Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Her home was a gathering place for treasured fun times. If Deola was around then there was a party brewing. She made even scrabble exciting. She was fun and made everyone comfortable. She married Roy Bliss Adamson May 1, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. They built their home in Orem and lived thre for over 50 years. Roy preceded her in death just shortly after their 50 th wedding Anniversery. They were planning on going to the temple and renewing there marriage vows. Their love deffently grew with the ups and downs of life.
Deola attended BYU, she was a member of the LDS church and served in many callings. She loved to spend time with her family. Especially traveling through the country with them. She enjoyed collecting recipes , cooking,working on any type of puzzles. RC and Deit Rite cola. She loved Sports especially BYU basketball and football. She was often a season ticket holder. She loved the ballroom dance compations. Deola worked for Geneva Steel for over 35 years and had made many life time friends.. She is survived by her two children Victoria (Vicki) James, Mark (Dana) Adamson. Two brothers Rulon C ( Floretta) Rondo (Jeanine ) Christensen. She is preceded by her husband two sons Denis Roy and Gary Christensen 5 brothers, Jay, Bernon, Wayne,Max and Don Marlo. She has 6 grandchildren, and 12great grand children. The fun is missing in our life, and we smile when we think of the good times and look forward to our reunion .
