Marian attended country schools around Ulysses and Herman until the family moved to Blair. She graduated from Blair High School in 1951 and married Bob on June 21, 1952, at First Methodist Church in Blair. Bob's enlistment in the Air Force took them to Cheyenne, WY, then to Germany. She returned to Nebraska to have their first child, Linda. Following Bob’s discharge, they became farmers and lived near Herman, where son Jon was born. They later lived in Blair, where Marian worked at Blair City Hall. In October of 1967 the family moved to Denver. Marian went to work for City of Westminster in 1968 starting off as a billing clerk and worked her way up to become Pension Administrator and Investment Officer. She retired after 25 years in 1993. After retirement they purchased a home in Mesa, AZ, where they spent winters. Daughter Linda married Bob Dietzen and has children Mike (Kelly) Dietzen, Suzy (Nick) Moore, John and Lizzie Dietzen. Son Jon married Teresa Edgar and has daughter, Zoya, great grandsons Jackson Dietzen, Maddox and Alexander Moore. Marian loved to keep her hands busy, crocheting “scrubbies”, made many porcelain dolls and made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, later selling them at craft shows. And she loved her volunteer work at Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. Preceeding were parents Henry and Irene Hunsche and sister Charlotte (Earl) Pace. Survivors beside Bob included brother Warren “Bud” (Pat) Hunsche and sisters-in-law Norma (Marvin) Heise and Sharon (Dick) Loftus, all of Blair. Memorial service held December 3rd at Aspen Mortuary Arvada Chapel. Memorial gifts made to Lutheran Medical Center Hospice in Wheat Ridge.
