Gene B. Christensen passed away on August 1, 2009 in Salt Lake City. She resided at 6 Tiny Wood Drive in Sandy, Utah at the time of her death.


She was born March 7, 1916 to George D. and Ellen Peacock Braithwaite in Manti, Utah.


She was very talented, watercolors, crafts, and poetry. We will miss her hand painted cards and poems. She was vastly interested in astronomy. She was a career LPN, working for various hospitals in the Salt Lake area.


She is survived by her children, Larry R. (Sharlene) Christensen, and Elaine (Cliff) Conlon; grandsons, Tony L. (Joyce) Christensen and Craig Christensen and great-grandchildren Jade and Crystal Christensen, also her long time friend William (Bill) W. Means. Preceded in death by her parents and Brother Wilson.


Graveside Services under the direction of Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manti City Cemetery.
