Dr. Mike Turner officiating. Burial following service at Onslow Memorial Park with Masonic Rites. Surviving: wife, Vera Jones Choate; sons and daughters-in-law. Ronald and Jane Choate, Michael and Heather Choate, all of Jacksonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Michael Gaines, Jan and Steve Banks, all of Wilmington; sister, Irene C. Williams of Normandy, TN; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
