2008 obituary. Poland - Chrystel H. Buck, 91, of Poland died Saturday November 1 at her home. She was born in North Reading, MA. on May 3, 1917 the daughter of Ausborne H. and Evelyn F. Libby Chisholm. She attended Gould Academy and had worked as a waitress at such places as Poland Spring House, Mansion House, Highland Park Club in Lake Wales, Florida, and Hanover Inn in Hanover, N.H. She was the Boston Post Cane holder for the oldest citizen of Poland. She loved her family and attending Grange. Poland Community Church was an important part of her life. She was a quiet, unassuming lady, always caring for other. She married Harry Buck on May 18, 1947, he died January 29, 1999. She was predeceased by two sisters, Nellie Karpowich and Barbara Carle; and a nephew, Peter Karpowich.
