She was born June 23, 1912, at "Millmore" in Aldie to the late John Douglass Moore and the late Mary Weems Chinn Moore. She was married to the late Dashwood Peyton Darling, who died in 1973. Mrs. Darling was a member of the Church of Our Redeemer. She attended the College of William & Mary and was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. She was also an active member of the Republican Women's Club. She was appointed to the Electoral Board and served as its secretary for a number of years. Survivors include her daughter, Mary P. Lloyd of Albemarle County; her son, Samuel T. Darling of British Columbia, Canada; and seven grandchildren.
