Mrs. Emma Childs, after a brief illness, died at the Minden Sanitarium Saturday afternoon, June 1st at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Childs had lived in the Grove community for several years where she had many friends.
The passing of this young mother, who was only 31 years of age, has caused great sadness throughout the Grove community, for she was beloved by all because of her happy disposition and faithful friendship.
Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. J.E. Hearn, pastor of the Minden Circuit, at 3:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Evergreen Cemetery. The remains were laid to rest under a bank of beautiful flowers brought by loving friends as a last tribute of affection in a lovely life.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Charles Childs and four children, the eldest of whom is 12 years of age.
