Funeral services for Mrs. J. R. Baker, 57, of 506 Willowbend, are incomplete and will be announced by Gipson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baker died Tuesday afternoon near Vernon, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born in Trinity County on May 11, 1909 and had lived in Lufkin 20 years. She was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church.
Her husband, with the pulpwood division of Southland Paper Mills, Inc. was listed in poor condition at Wichita Falls General Hospital.
Survivors include husband, J. R. Baker; sons, Joe Dan Baker, Jesse L. Baker and Gary Baker; daughter, Mrs. Peggy Perkins; brothers, R. O Chessher and Sam Chessher; sisters, Mrs. Hazel Due and Mrs. C. C. Tranberg; 5 grandchildren.
