MRS. EVANGELINE FOSTER CHESER, 91, of Willisburg, passed away at 1:15 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home. A native of Washington County, she was born on March 18, 1914 to the late George Lanis and Dora Wilham Foster. She was a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church and a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her husband, William H. Cheser on March 27, 1994; a grandson, Tony Cheser on May 30, 2002 and a brother, Darrol Foster on April 7, 1993. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Cheser and his wife Mary and Billy Cheser and his wife Betty Jane, all of Willisburg; two daughters, Eldora Akin and her husband Herman of Willisburg and Jane Crooper and her husband David of Tompkinsville; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren and one step great-great grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, pastor of the Willisburg Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Willisburg. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Anita Foster, Rita Milburn, Connie Adams and Greta Cropper. Casket bearers were Larry Cheser, Roger Cheser, Terry Cheser, Danny Akin, Greg Cropper and Corey Lacefield. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
