She was born May 5, 1923 to the late George and Bertha Kettleholt Schorling. A native of Newburgh, NY, Helen lived most of her life in Creskill, NJ before moving to Mandeville, LA in 1999.
The beloved wife of the late John Cheselka, she is survived by his three daughters: Catherine Cheselka, Kim Cheselka and Carol C. Torrey; five grandchildren: Rhys Dubin, Emilio and Fabio Marretta, Alanna and Alexandra Torrey. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Marge Gant, Ruth Leibfried and Marion Patterson.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at 8:30 AM.
Interment at Biloxi National Cemetery will immediately follow services.
