Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Alice Guidry Cheramie, 74, a native of Galliano and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 11:18 a.m. April 30, 2001.
Visitation will be from 5 until 10 p.m. today and 8 until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off.
Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery.
She was the wife of Theo Cheramie; mother of Mary Ann Curole and Doreen Cheramie; and sister of Allen, Dudley, Jerry and James Guidry, Bertha Terrebonne, Margie Adams, Dorothy Pitre and Ella Mae Duplantis. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vandon and Solange Babin Guidry; son, Roger Cheramie; grandson, Chad Pitre; brother, William Guidry; and sister, Judith Melancon.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
Samart Funeral Home and Crematorium of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
