Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. at the Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette for Herbert G. Cheesman, 70, of Elston, brother of Roy Cheesman of Mulberry. Interment followed in the West Point cemetery. Death occurred Sunday following an illness of several months.
In 1921 he was married to the former Clara B. Oliver, who preceded him in death in 1959.
Five years ago he retired from the Duncan Electric Manufacturing Co.
Mr. Cheesman was a member of the Elston Presbyterian church.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. of Lafayette route 8; a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Donald Schlie of Dayton; a stepson, Russell l. Oliver of Lafayette route 8; the brother in Mulberry, and a sister, Mrs. Harold Rives of Summerfield, N. J. Also surviving are four grandchildren.
