Nellie Ruth Cheek, 69, of Wadley Road, died Saturday. She was the daughter of the late Pete and Mattie Sue Carr Marchman. She graduated from high school in White Plains Georgia. She attended Georgia Southwestern College in Americus. She was a homemaker and attended Bollingbroke United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, R.C. Cheek of Bolingbroke; three daughters, Linda Faye Cheek of Monroe, Sandra Cheek Barham of Macon and Connie Renee Cheek of Bolingbroke; brothers and sisters, Richard Marchman of Augusta, Gene Marchman of Hephzibah, Helen Brooks and Mary Anna Johnson, both of Sparta, and Mattie Kate Thigpen of North Augusta, South Carolina; and a grandchild.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday in Andrew A. Dillon & Son Funeral Home in Forsyth. Burial: Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. The Revs. Steve Arnold and Edgar Pritchett will officiate.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight in the funeral home.
