Breann Nicole Chavez was placed in the loving and caring arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the age of 3 years, by her devoted parents. She was born Feb. 10, 2003, in Albuquerque, to Jami and Lisa Chavez.

Breann has been an amazing blessing to many people and has touched thousands of lives with her smile. Her father said, "When God gives you a child, you teach; when God gives you an angel, you learn," and we have certainly learned.

Breann is survived by her parents, Jami and Lisa; grandparents, Jim and Kay Baker; countless aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

Visitation for Breann will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 12, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m.

A closed casket funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, at First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, with Pastor Randy Joslin officiating. Interment will follow at the Turley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation, P.O. Box 310, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538-0310, or to Navajo Ministries, P.O. Box 1230, Farmington, NM 87499, where the new Activity Center will be constructed and dedicated in Breann's name.

Breann has been entrusted to the care of Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington, (505) 327-5142.
