Susan Irene Bowen, 51, of Rantoul passed away at 10:28 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 6, 2012) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born Nov. 2, 1961 in Urbana, a daughter of Gilbert and Carol Spaulding Chase. She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Chase and foster father, John Cook. She married Bruce Bowen on May 18, 1995 in Paxton. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Nikki Cook and Amee Bowen; two grandchildren, Katrina and Micheal; her birth mother, Carol Chase; foster mother, Helen Cook; four sisters, Deb (Ray) Stange, Jean Hagemeier, Sandy (Tim) Mathews and Wanda (Ron) Moore; a brother, Elbert Chase and a foster sister, Gloria (Phil) Lawday.
