Agnes Marie Chase passed away on Dec. 4, 2005 at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale. She was 92.

Agnes was born Feb. 13, 1913 to Anton and Josephine (Fabian) Snyder in Aspen. She was a lifetime resident of this area. She was married for 51 years to S. Burton Chase whom she married in Glenwood Springs.

Agnes had several beauty salons and worked at others during her lifetime. She was always giving help to others in their times of need. She befriended many young residents of the valley that she met while commuting to work on the RFTA ride.

Her family wishes to thank all who have expressed their wonderful wishes and memories regarding Agnes and Burton. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge at Carbondale. She is survived by her sons, David Chase of Golden, Colo., and Robert Chase of Elizabeth, Colo., two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Heritage Park on Dec. 12, 2005, with the Reverend Marie Gassau officiating. She was buried in Rosebud Cemetery.
