They later moved into Nephi, where she was a community leader for many years. She and her husband were instrumental in attracting the Thermoid Rubber Company plant to Nephi in the 1950s. She belonged to a Literary club, and was President of that organization during 1950-1951. She was responsible for the organization of and President the first year of the Jacee Janes Club, which was an auxiliary of the Jr. Chamber of Commerce of Nephi. She also worked on committees which staged the celebrations for Nephi City's Centennial in 1951.
She worked in many of the organizations of the Church, as a drama director, a dance director, teaching literary lessons in Relief Society, and as Primary President. She was also a reader for many programs and cantatas.
Louise is survived by all five of her children: Lynn (Kathryn) Chase, Barton (Rosemary) Chase, MaryLou (Wayne) Olsen, Laura Norris (husband deceased), and Randal (Deborah) Chase; 28 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
