She was born on May 23, 1920 in Calla, Ohio to the late Frank J. and Ota F. (Paulin) Charlton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Latta Jr., whom she married on June 1, 1957. He died Aug. 23, 1969.
She was born in the area, then moved to Pittsburgh, Oil City, Pa., Chambersburg, Pa., and St. Louis, Mo. before returning back to Salem. She was employed at Deming Pump Co., Goodyear Aerocraft, in Pittsburgh, Pa., H. K. Porter Inc., Frank Rymans Co. and Kelly Girls. She moved to St. Louis and worked for Kelly Girls then moved back to the Salem area.
She was a graduate of Goshen Township High School and Salem Business College. She was a member of the Salem Historical Society and the Salem First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister Helen (Lawrence) Simons of Warren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. P. Douglas George of the church will officiate. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
The burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park, Pa. on Friday afternoon.
