Brown died May 13 in Farmington. She was born May 31, 1938, in Ganado, Ariz., into the Big Water People Clan Clan for the Tangle People Clan.
Brown was a housewife.
Survivors include her sons, Beniel L. Brown of Farmington, Daniel L. Brown and Tommy L. Brown, both of Chinle; daughters, Ester Brown, Melinda Brown, Clara Brown and Alta Mae Brown, all of Chinle; mother, Rosanda Jones of Chinle; brother, Francis Charlie of Chinle; sister, Conacia Gorman of Chinle; and 21 grandchildren.
Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brown; son, Samuel Brown; and daughter, Sarah Brown.
Pallbearers will be Daniel L. Brown, Casey L. Brown, Tommy L. Brown, Jimmy Tsosie Jr., Nathaniel Gorman and Peterson Yazzie.
The family will receive friends and relatives after the burial services at 1.5 miles east of Whitehouse Overlook, Chinle.
