Johnny Lee Chapple, 51, of Hewitt, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, surrounded by family and close friends. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Waco. Inurnment of ashes will follow in Heath Cemetery in Whitney.

His wonderful sense of humor and compassion will be remembered by all who loved him. Johnny was a longtime member of the Waco 92 Masonic Lodge and The Karem Shriners. He was also a volunteer for the Boston Terrier Rescue of Houston. A millwright by trade, it gave him opportunities to travel and work nuclear power plants with his father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne Chapple; and sisters, Pamela Darling and Janis Cravy.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lynda; sisters, Jennie Kiesel, Melissa Chapple, Peggy Walker, and Laurie Stegall; nieces: Kari Stanley, Sarah Stanley, Darcy Wyatt, Ashley Stegall, and Misti Walker; nephews: Eddie Wyatt, Joshua Wyatt, and John Wyatt; and honorary brothers, David and Rusty Kirkland.
