J.L. Verhi, of Portland, officiating. Interment was at Idlewilde cemetery. Mrs. Chapman, who had lived in Hood River for more than 26 years, is survived by her husband, Robert C. Chapman, of Hood River; sons, William, of Sunnyside, Wash.; Herman, of Yakima and Melvin, of this city, and two daughters, Thelma and Viola, both of this city. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Anderson Chapel. Rev. J.L. Verlin of Portland will conduct the service. Survivors are her husband, Robert C. Chapman, Hood River; sons, William R., Sunnyside, Wash.; Herman E., Yakima; and Melvin E., of Hood River; daughters, Thelma B. Chapman, Hood River, and Viola F. Chapman, Hood River. Two brothers, Herman A. Maire and Arthur G. Maire of Portland, also survive.
