CEPHAS CHAPIN WAS THE SON OF VECISSIMUS S CHAPIN AND RHODA A ???. HE MARRIED 1ST LUCINDA WAGGONER, AND 2ND SUSAN WAGGONER (LUCINDA'S SISTER). -- The Breckenridge News .. April 6, 1910 -- Cephus E. Chapin died after a two weeks illness of grippe at 1:30 o'clock at his home at Hites Run. He was born October 4, 1830 and died March 3, at the age of 80 years. -- He is survived by two sons and four daughters: Mrs. Alice Walker, D.E. Chapin, Viola Chapin, Chas. E. Chapin, Mrs. Ora A. Gorby, of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Lula E. Hawkins. -- The funeral took place at his home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. J. Willett, pastor of the Hites Run church conducted the services. Interment was in the Hawkins Cemetery -- FROM Ron Bauerle
