Funeral services for Connie Frances Channer, age 78, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 at Breckenridge Cemetery in Breckenridge, TX, with Andy Channer officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Kurth, Kevin Gibson, Scotty Reed and Aaron Wilkerson. Mrs. Channer passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Channer was born on November 18, 1935 in Ft. Worth, TX, the daughter of Dan and Frances (McKey) LaRue. Mrs. Channer was preceded in death by her first husband, James O. Pate and second husband John Channer. Mrs. Channer was a teacher's aid for many years and was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Channer is survived by her son, Kent Pate and wife Stacy of Sulphur Springs, daughter, Christy Kurth and husbnd Brad of Rowlett, brother, Dick LaRue and wife Barbara of California, grandchildren, Cody Eptine and Sydney Kurth. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Joel Pate, brother, Dan LaRue and sister, Sharie Cozart.
