(Frances) Grace was born in Sand Creek, Iowa to John Lee Chandler and Catherine McCann.

Grace graduated from Creighton University in 1931 and became a registered nurse.

Grace was married to Dr. Sebastian John Carnazzo, M.D. on Sept., 1931, in Omaha, Nebraska, and they had four children. After his death, Grace was married to Dr. Carl J. Manganaro, M.D. on Aug. 24, 1974, in Monterey, California.
