Rites are scheduled for 4 p.m. today following the death Saturday of Mrs. Ethel Bernice Adams, 72. The services will be held at First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe S. Allen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Newberry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams was born Oct. 25, 1906 in Arbalar, Texas. She married William Clyde Adams on Nov. 18, 1927 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Mr. Adams died March 13, 1972.

Mrs. Adams came here in 1932 from Sulphur Springs. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Delbert Adams of El Paso and Elbert Adams of Mabank, Texas; one sister, Miss Addie Coker of Yantis, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be E.A. Beaver, Raymond Stiner, Gerald Menefee, Marcus Siler, John Hamilton and M.A. DeShazo.
