Chamblee Rites Set On Tuesday

Mrs. Charlie Mildred Chamblee, 80, died at her home in the Forest Grove community Sunday morning after a long illness.

She was a native of Leake County and the daughter of the late D. M. and Maggie Matlock Leitaker. She was a life-long resident of that community and was a member of the Forest Grove Presbyterian Church.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Forest Grove Church with Rev. John Allen of Carthage and Rev. John Higginbotham of Canton officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Grove Cemetery with the Baldwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband J. D. Chamblee of Ofahoma; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Crew, Mrs. Mary Frances DeVore, both of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Myra Sheffield, Vicksburg, Mrs. Lynn Truesdale of Canton; four sons, Murray Chamblee and Cecil Chamblee, both of Ofahoma; Milton Chamblee of Canton, John David Chamblee of Sheffield. Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl O'Cain of Meridian and Mrs. Georgia Burke of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Dan Leitaker of Canton, Ike Leitaker and Curtis Leitaker of Camden; six grandchildren.
