Florence H. Bintrim, 90, of 204 Hoover Road, New Castle, passed away the night of January 8, 2011 at her residence.Born February 25, 1920 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Addison and Grace Pitts Chambers.

Married to James Bintrim July 2, 1943, they celebrated sixty seven years of marriage. She was a graduate of Union High School, completing twelve years of perfect attendance. Florence enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her dogs, her garden, and God's blue-birds.She was a member of the Bernese Mountain Dog club in Pittsburgh. Florence was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church and a past member of Second Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Leslie Bintrim and Judy Drake of New Castle, and Betsy Ratvasky of Edinburg; six sons, Thomas Bintrim, William Bintrim, Larry Bintrim, Robert Bintrim, Richard Bintrim and Scott Bintrim, all of New Castle; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Naomi Ehrheart and Marion Ubry.

A private family funeral was held Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Gary Waguespack officiated. Burial was in Castle View Cemetery.
