JoAnn Julia Snyder Chambers, of Waco, McClennan County, Texas, passed away on Thursday, 25 March 2010, at a Waco hospital. She was 64.


Mrs. Chambers was born on Tuesday, 16 October 1945, to Albert Snyder and Margaret Adeline Jenkins Snyder, in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio. She was the third of eleven children born to this union.


She was united in marriage to George Washington Chambers on Friday, 14 April 1978, in Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas. George preceded JoAnn in death on Thursday, 22 July 1993. They were married fifteen years.


She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, 01 July 1972, in Corsicana, Navarro County, Texas. JoAnn was proudest of being a faithful and dedicated Jehovah Witness for nearly four decades. She never met a stranger and was eager to tell others about her hope of living in a paradise on earth where sickness, pain, and death will soon be gone forever.


JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, and brother James Snyder.


Survivors include daughters, Paula Swatek and husband, David, of Waco, Bridgett Crumpton and husband, Cecil, of Bossier City, La.; son, Scott Snyder and wife, Shelly, of Axtell; grandchildren, Paul Snyder, Felicia Snyder, Timothy Snyder, Daren Snyder and Jimmy Joe Graves; sisters, Della Fife, Lillian Jones, Margaret Waller, Loretta Baker, and Dorothy Silvers; brothers, Carl Snyder, William Snyder, Albert Snyder, and Alan Snyder; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.


Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, 27 March 2010, at Oakwood Cemetery with George Norris officiating.


Memorial services were conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, 03 April 2010, at the Kingdom Hall, 2308 North Valley Mills Drive in Waco with L.C. Nobles officiating.
