Mrs. Elizabeth Davis, 91, of Richmond, passed from this life to join Our Heavenly Father on February 7, 2008.
She was preceded in death by parents James and Ella Hobson Chambers.
She is survived by devoted son James Davis Jr.; two nieces Helen Brown of Ocala, FL and Barbara Hill; two great-nieces, Nora Holt and Yvonne Simon; three great-nephews, Lanxton Davis, Everett Brown and devoted Linwood Davis Sr.; one goddaughter, Michelle Taylor; two sisters-in-law, Ruby and devoted Evoria Chambers; several cousins, among them Robert Chambers; and other relatives and friends.
Remains rested at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral services held Wednesday, 1pm at Riverview Baptist Church, 2600 Idlewood Ave., where remains laid in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett (Pastor) officiated. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family, friends and organization assembled at the church 12:45pm Wednesday.
